The Feasts of Israel are of great importance. They are a testimony to what God has done, and will do for His people. God declared, “These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD.” Leviticus 23:2. These feasts where to be a memorial to all that God had provided and done on behalf of His people, Israel. These where His feasts. ‘Giving Israel Back to God’–In Dueteronomy 14:2 God says of Israel, “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Out of all the peoples (nations) on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be His treasured possession.”

For the last 60 years Israel’s reality has been harsh. Violence and anger are always present in their land. As God’s chosen people their moral resolve has been tested time and time again.
